Link Building

Mucho, Quality, Content Relevant Links = Better SERP Results and Higher Page Rank

Quantity of Links

Inbound links are a major factor in determining which pages rank highest in search engines. Websites with a ton of inbound links are known as “authority sites.” That’s because Google and other search engines interpret links as “votes.” If people like your website and feel it’s a valuable resource they’ll “vote” for it by linking to it. And like any election, sites with the most “votes” win.

Quality of Links

The quality of links pointing to your website is also a major factor Google uses to rank your pages. Quantity of links is important, but so is quality of links. Getting a hundred links from questionable, link farm directories isn’t going to win you any friends with Google.

Relevance of Links

Finally, the content relevancy of the inbound links is equally as important. Search engines, like Google, consider the content of websites that are linking to your website to determine the quality of a link. When sites linking to your site have content related to your site, these inbound links are considered more relevant to your site. If the inbound links are found on sites with unrelated content, they are considered less relevant. In short, the higher the relevance of inbound links, the greater their impact on search results.
